CHURCH AT THE BEACH
(yeah, flip flops are fine!)

Whether you're here on vacation or a life-long Islander, you are welcome at Island Church! We know it can be intimidating to visit any church for the first time, so here are a few FAQ's so you'll know what to expect:

  • WHAT IS IT LIKE?

We worship in the gymnasium of the Emerald Isle Recreation Center, and our style is casual and family friendly. We have a worship band that plays, sermons that are Bible-based and relevent to our lives, and we keep our service to about 90 minutes in length.

  • WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Kids stay with their parents and enjoy the worship music, then leave during the sermon time to enjoy Island Kids - a teaching time just for them led by caring and vetted adults who love Jesus and want your kids to love Jesus too.

  • WHERE DO I PARK?

The Recreation Center has plenty of parking, and we are the only ones in the facility on Sunday mornings, so feel free to park wherever you'd like.

  • WHAT DO I WEAR?

Beach casual is pretty typical! Board shorts, jeans, sundresses... just about anything is fine. We gather to worship - not make a fashion statement. If you're in a swimsuit to go to the beach after worship, please wear a coverup.

  • HOW CAN I CONNECTED?

In addition to Sunday Worship, we also have Island Groups (small group fellowship and Bible studies) that meet in homes throughout the year. We also hold regular get-togethers, enjoy Second Sunday Potlucks every month, and host an occasional Book Club meeting.
